TITLE: Principal Engineer I
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, Colorado
JOB SUMMARY: Lead network planning, architecture design, and engineering. Forecast, identify, and implement resource requirements for network systems of varying (moderate to high) complexity. Integrate communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software transmission, signaling links, and protocols into complete network configurations. Evaluate new products, as well as perform network problem resolution. Assist in the development and documentation of technical standards. Implement approved methods of procedures. Work with firewalls, including ASA and SRX. Perform load balancing utilizing F5 and A10. Proactively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Implement and assist in designing corporate standards. Develop and implement network enhancements and make recommendations for improvements. Perform routing and switching of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs. Utilize knowledge of industry standards IEEE, ANSI, Physical Media, Multimode Fiber, Singlemode Fiber, UTP, bridging, switching, routing, ethernet and transport technologies and protocols to design networks. Support network operations using software tools Ansible or Terraform.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7 years of experience performing routing and switching of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs; and utilizing knowledge of industry standards IEEE, ANSI, Physical Media, Multimode Fiber, Singlemode Fiber, UTP, bridging, switching, routing, ethernet and transport technologies and protocols to design networks. 4 years of experience supporting network operations using software tools Ansible or Terraform.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $159,598 to $196,400. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
