Job Description:
We’re seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead pre-sales efforts across our customer portfolio, overseeing every aspect of the customer project lifecycle from PoC to production. You’ll introduce our platform to technical and non-technical customer stakeholders, gather project requirements, understand and overcome customer objections associated with alternative solutions, architect comprehensive & competitive solutions using HarperDB, and convince the customer to invest in a PoC that demonstrates our competitive advantage and results in the customer purchasing our software.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include delivering the platform overview, creating and presenting architecture diagrams and project proposals, developing the requirements documents that our delivery engineers will use to build PoCs, and ensuring that those PoCs meet the agreed-upon success criteria. This role reports directly to our Field CTO.
Responsibilities:
- Work with internal and partner sales teams to identify ideal use cases for our platform
- Demonstrate HarperDB’s features to customers across new and existing use cases
- Identify specific opportunities and answer technical questions during initial intro call
- Design, document, scope, and price solutions, then present them to the customer
- Serve as the HarperDB subject matter expert for the length of customer engagements
- Address questions during PoC development for both customers and delivery engineers
- Work with account teams to introduce new use cases to existing customers
Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in a customer-facing software pre-sales and/or architecture role.
- Experience with distributed systems, including multi-cloud applications, clustered databases, and real-time streaming data.
- Strong grasp of modern database technologies, platforms, and design principles.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- Knowledge of HarperDB
- Experience with system design principles and tools.
- Experience building/managing an enterprise-grade SaaS management platform

Salary Range: $175,000 - $210,000
