About the Role
As a Program Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for front end administration. This position will work closely with Transportation team members and users to provide support for integrated business collaboration solutions. You will also support the Program Finance, Engineering and Functional leaders in fulfilling their responsibilities to ongoing cross department continuous improvement, problem solving, project implementation, training, and governance efforts.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyze, and quantify program financial risks.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and monitor execution.
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) and other program performance measurement techniques.
  • Perform program cost assessments and profitability analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with government and company regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Track and analyze actual costs against planned expenditures.
  • Identify cost drivers and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Support the development and implementation of cost control mechanisms.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to program managers and senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, program finance, or related field in the Aerospace & Defense industry
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other financial management tools, such as Cobra.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software, ERP systems


Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
Rarely lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.
Working Conditions:
Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
Rarely exposed to loud noises

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
$79,264.96 - $108,989.33
