Workplace Partner (Facilities Specialist)
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Udemy is seeking a Workplace Partner to join our scaling People team. This role supports the Workplace function in creating a welcoming, organized, clean and comfortable environment in our Denver spaces. This is a great opportunity to apply your experience managing growing facilities and expansion and making an impact along the way.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of strong Workplace experience in rapid-growth tech environments, an approachable demeanor, a true attention to detail and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. Candidate must be able to work independently with a remote manager. Experience in office expansion, build outs and moves of varying sizes and scope a strong plus.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Perform reception duties and act as first point of contact.
- Manage employee engagement and visitor experience.
- Partner on/lead office renovations and subsequent build-outs and moves.
- Enforce onsite security protocols and ensure employee safety.
- Manage all internal and external service providers including snack vendors, suppliers, porters, janitors, maintenance, etc.
- Maintain relationships with property managers and landlords.
- Sustain office aesthetics and functionality by ensuring kitchens and conference rooms are fully stocked and clean. (Office work can sometimes mean using some elbow grease, working with tools and light maintenance work—our global Workplace team doesn’t mind getting a little dirty!)
- Creating and improving processes with ideas for scalable solutions.
- Assist with office events, both on and offsite.
We're excited about you because you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of Workplace or equivalent experience.
- A customer service mindset and friendly demeanor. You like people and are willing to pitch in and help!
- An aptitude for learning systems and making recommendations for new ones.
- The strong ability to apply and expand knowledge of real estate, GC coordination, build outs and large scale office moves.
- The capability to partner effectively with a diverse group of colleagues across many functions and countries.
- The skill of prioritization and staying organized in a constantly evolving work environment.
