Guild is hiring for a VP of Solutions Strategy & Operations to play a central role in Guild’s mission by managing operations and strategy for Employer Solutions. In this role, you’ll accelerate Guild’s work with new and existing Fortune 1000 employer partners while managing a strong cross-functional team. In particular, we’re looking for a leader who has scaled enterprise services that are highly consultative but operationalized and experience improving go to market strategy in a complex, high touch client environment. 

Guild operates on the cutting edge of the Future of Work, partnering with the United States’ largest companies to innovate on how to educate and upskill millions of employees. This role sits at the forefront of these efforts, using a mix of strategic consulting and commercial orientation to land and grow large, strategic client relationships.

As the VP of Solutions Strategy & Operations, you will work cross-functionally to:

  • Help build out our recently launched Employer Solutions team from the ground up, through hiring and development of people and establishment of practices that lead to long-term success of the team
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Client Services, Marketplace Operations and Learning Marketplace to simplify and scale practices around solutions consulting and go to market strategy 
  • Prioritize team efforts that will be most impactful for Guild’s double bottom line, staff projects to best use our talent mix, and project future team capacity needs
  • Manage a cross functional team of consultants, SMEs, and go-to-market strategists 
  • Grow and adapt with the evolving needs of the Employer Solutions team in rapid-growth environment 

In this role, you’ll work closely with team members across Employer Experience, including Allison Salisbury (manager), Greg Siegel and Karina Salenieks. You will also collaborate with other Guild leaders across the Partnerships organization and beyond, including Rachel Carlson (CEO and Co-Founder).

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • 10+ years of total experience in management consulting, software-as-a-service client services & sales or similar
  • Experience in B2B style partnerships, preferably at an organization where high-touch, long-term relationships were essential to the business’ success
  • Strong commercial experience, with experience leading sales, up-sell and/or consumption-based growth
  • Experience with influencing Fortune 1000 senior executives as a trusted thought partner
  • Strong team management and development experience, with the ability to keep teams oriented towards high-level needs
  • Examples of how you’ve successfully grown a business segment directly and through cross-functional team execution
  • A drive to work hard and a plan for how you can refresh/recharge while working in a startup
