We are looking to hire our first VP of Business Process Improvement to design, adopt, and execute lean methodologies across the enterprise.  If you’re excited to be part of our new team working with executives across the company, this is the right opportunity for you!

 

Leveraging our #1 position and global scale with over a $104B of assets under management, we are entering another phase of growth with a focus on delivering additional services and products to customers.  The Prologis Business Process Improvement team will be an integral part of the way we run our business for the long-term.  With a focus on creating, supporting, and assisting the improvement efforts tied to the company’s most critical business processes; primarily in the innovation, commercial, and operations functions.  Through analyzing processes, diagnosing operational challenges, and implementing process changes, the Business System Office will drive continuous improvement and breakthrough performance that will continue to shape company culture and brand.

 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the impact on results and culture by establishing standards, institutionalizing management processes, and adopting consistent problem-solving methods.  As the architect of Prologis’ Business System, this leader will build an action plan to identify opportunities and implement tools and processes such as; the lean resource headcount model, the project funnel prioritization process, etc. which will ultimately define the lean culture and activities.  This will require significant change management to effectively embed throughout the growing organization and a strong knowledge of system solutions.

 

What’s needed in order to do that:

  • Synthesize market needs, customer pain points, and internal requests; drive strategy from these interactions
  • Identify the internal process for the lean approach and implement new processes across the globe.
  • Continuously iterate and experiment on our revenue streams and customer acquisition experiences
  • Design Prologis Business System and organization through partnership and influence of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Implement the Business System including; management metrics, review and problem-solving cadence and agenda/format, a process to address KPI and CVD (core value drivers); implementing lean tools and training programs to enable PSP/action planning
  • Staffing Business Unit/Regional lean leader roles
  • Establish a lean certification program which; ensures the application of globally recognized standards for lean principles and practices, serves as a benchmark for Prologis’ achievements, provides a common roadmap for continuous improvement and workforce development
  • Develop capability across the spectrum from the tactical (deployment and application of principles, concepts, and methods) to the strategic (a transformation that deeply impacts a key-value stream)
  • Demonstrated successful leadership and proficiency in building and implementing lean business system/practices for a global organization(s)
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
  • Strong focus on the customer and end-user experience
  • Gains traction quickly, demonstrates ambition and high energy
  • Independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations

 

 

Tell us if you’re ready.

  • Minimum seven (7) years in a lean/operational leadership role
  • Minimum of ten (10) years mastering a variety of Lean and Growth-related tools such as Strategy Deployment, Problem Solving, Daily Management, Standard Work, and VSM/Process Mapping, System solutions
  • Ideally built and/or designed business system for global organization
  • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations
  • Familiarity with various real estate investment trusts
  • Excellent time and project management
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and are not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities
  • Exceptionally strong in both quantitative and qualitative analysis and demonstrate superior communication skills to constituents across the business
  • Six-Sigma Black Belt or other relevant Lean certification, or higher strongly desired
  • Successfully managed multi-million-dollar budget and/or P&L
