The VP, Digital Strategy role is a critical role as part of the growth of Metric Theory. In this role, you’ll lead a multi-regional team and grow the agency relationship with our largest and highest profile B2B and B2C lead gen brands. This individual will lead people, digital strategy and client relationships. We’re looking for someone who can hire and develop team members to deliver top results and client experiences. 


Our ideal candidate is a performance marketer who has a passion for innovation and storytelling with a natural aptitude for team leadership, strategic collaboration, relationship building, and driving growth. This individual relishes forming meaningful relationships with C-suite executives and key decision makers, as well as guiding digital paid media strategy across paid search, social & display advertising teams.

Client and Strategic Leadership:

  • Serve as the Executive Sponsor for the largest, multi-channel lead gen & B2B enterprise brands 
  • Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to drive growth through full funnel, data driven, and holistic digital marketing for portfolio of clients
  • Provide POV on prominent topics like 1P data strategy, iOS 14 impact, new digital media channel expansion, upper funnel measurement & more
  • Support team members during key impact moments such as planning, QBRs, and ad hoc meetings 
  • Help integrate new service lines (creative & CRO) & digital advertising channels
  • Leverage media vendor partnerships (Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Linkedin, etc.) to strategically elevate client portfolios by identifying growth opportunities through data and research

People Leadership:

  • Directly manage 5-6 (Sr.) Directors overseeing a larger team of 10-15 
  • Build a high-functioning team of top players to lead our largest lead gen & B2B accounts

Internal Agency Operations:

  • Revenue & retention responsibilities for accounts and P&L for team performance
  • Create frameworks and playbooks of standardization for internal team growth and efficiency 
  • Support sales team on largest, multi-channel lead gen pitches and proposals

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of paid performance digital marketing experience
  • 3+ Years in a supervisory role directly overseeing other digital marketing professionals
  • Experience forecasting and allocating digital marketing budgets across channels on lead gen and B2B accounts
  • Comfortability speaking to best practices and growth strategy across paid search, paid social & programmatic display and video
  • Strong data analytics and strategy background
  • Experience presenting digital marketing strategy to C-Suite and executive audiences
  • High-level Excel proficiency

Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Worked in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Relationships with executives at large performance advertisers
  • Comfort working with clients in order to drive change within an organization and account team
  • Exposure to SEO, ABM, App & CTV advertising efforts (in addition to search, social & display)
  • Ability to travel for client and internal meetings, up to 10%
