Job Description

Conga is seeking a talented and passionate Vice President of Compliance for Privacy & Security to join our rapidly growing company. The Vice President of Privacy & Compliance is a key team member for Conga's Office of the CISO and is responsible for ensuring that the CISO is aware of gaps in compliance from a privacy, security, regulatory, and quality system compliance perspective. 

A focus on privacy and compliance, not limited to Global Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and other privacy regulations and practices with security frameworks, such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, the HITRUST Common Security Framework (CSF), the Common Criteria (SOC 2), ISO, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and others in a way that allows Conga and our customers to comply with privacy and security mandates. 

 

This role will utilize resources from Conga’s Office of the CISO, Product, Finance, Professional Services, Marketing and Human Resources departments to identify and remediate gaps in compliance. This role will also be responsible for leading the following:

  • Internal compliance and procedural audits 
  • Assist security team with customer assessments and audits 
  • Vendor assessments to ensure privacy & compliance controls meet internal and customer expectations.
  • SOC 2 Type II audits on Conga controls 
  • HITRUST audits on Conga controls 
  • International privacy assessments and program development, such as GDPR 
  • Privacy policy owner
  • Other assessments as needed

This role also supports all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to Conga’s policies and procedures. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with Conga leadership in defining strategy, roadmap and projects
  • Provider leadership, guidance, and oversight of the Privacy & Compliance team
  • Assist in protect personal information about customers, their data subjects, our employees, service providers, confidential business information and intellectual property
  • Stay current with industry and regulatory trends relating to Data Privacy and Information Security
  • Review and maintain Conga’s information privacy and security policies and procedures
  • Assist in data inventorying, data mapping and lifecycle documentation
  • Help develop and conduct privacy related training and awareness 
  • Assist in urgent response to privacy and security incidents including research, team coordination, communication and Root Cause Analysis (RCA.)
  • Manage privacy issues related to new and existing products, including conducting privacy impact assessments 
  • Managing cross-border data transfers
  • Teach and communicate inside and outside the organization
  • Assist with RFP and Information Security responses for customers
  • Work on privacy by design and vendor management projects
  • Assist with contract negotiations as needed
  • Partner with all facets of the organization to assist them with complying with established policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience, Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and services
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com services
  • CIPP a plus
  • Excellent presentation skills in front of enterprise prospects and customers
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex privacy requirements to stakeholders with differing levels of expertise
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams, including software engineers, marketing, account management, sales operations with the ability to provide solutions and incorporate constructive feedback
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
  • Ability to balance leadership and individual contributions
