As the Vice President of Demand Generation, you will be leading the team’s efforts in developing our integrated campaign strategy and driving the execution of those campaigns across our owned and paid marketing channels. You will be responsible for generating demand for our sales organization across all stages of the customer journey (net new sales and upsell / cross-sell). While we have traditionally used a mix of content, SEO, online advertising, email marketing, and events to generate demand, we want you to come on board, take stock of where we are today and help optimize our marketing strategy to deliver against our pipeline targets.

This role is cross-functional in nature and will require successful partnership with sales, customer success, partnerships, as well as other teams within the marketing department. An ideal candidate will be results-driven, customer-focused and comfortable with both the analytical and creative sides of marketing. S/he will have experience with strategy, execution, and optimization across all stages of the demand generation funnel, and will need to be comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get hands-on with growth programs.  

About You 

  • 8+ years of overall experience in B2B demand generation roles with 3-5 years of proven success both building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience working at a rapidly growing tech leader (public or private) with a prior role focused on selling enterprise SaaS to the IT audience being highly preferred.
  • Big picture thinker with meticulous attention to detail who will understand the overall business and marketing strategy, translate that into an acquisition strategy and guide the team through execution
  • Proven track record of measuring and improving effectiveness of demand generation efforts at each level of the funnel (MQL, SQL, Opportunities, Pipeline), partnering with sales and sales development to improve them, and reporting those results as well as recommendations up to the executive level.
  • An excellent leader that will play an instrumental role in marketing leadership and influence the overall company strategy and culture.
  • Strong ability to plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously and work strategic initiatives that shared at executive leadership and board levels 
  • Team player and strong collaborator who knows how to drive success working with diverse teams.

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead a growing team of demand gen marketers across campaigns, content marketing, digital marketing and events by aligning their efforts to clear objectives and measuring success against well-defined metrics. 
  • Own the development, execution and optimization of all lead generation, nurturing and upsell/cross-sell marketing campaigns across all funnel stages
  • Own relationship with sales VPs and directors, forging strong communication and service level agreements (SLAs) between marketing and sales
  • Develop a deep understanding of our target IT persona, the competitive landscape and evolving SMP market category to drive awareness, consideration and conversion for BetterCloud product suite
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of key SaaS business metrics, and use those metrics to set target CPA thresholds; experiment with new channels, techniques, and messaging to scale paid marketing spend
  • Support the enablement of our GTM teams around key campaign activities and ensure a quality experience for prospects as they move through the sales funnel
  • Optimize our account-based marketing efforts by working with sales to identify top target accounts, building highly customized campaigns that improve conversion rates and accelerate those accounts toward purchase.
