Responsibilities:
- In-depth knowledge of voice telecommunications and telephone systems including networking principles, session boarder controllers and voice communications over data networks (VoIP)
- Participate in evaluation and recommendation of new voice technology solutions
- Coordinate with both technical and non-technical staff and vendors on the implementation of complex projects
- Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of issues on both physical and virtual infrastructure platforms
- Leads efforts to develop and grow our enterprise call centers, standardize and refresh platforms across all applicable technologies
- Assist in enterprise network and telephony designs, implementation and ongoing support of voice infrastructures including both hardware and software components
- Participates as a senior member of the Telecommunications team in design, install, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of core services required for VoIP deployments including QOS, SBC's and SIP Carrier Services
- Applies knowledge of call center operational dynamics as it relates to design and implementation of Voice Infrastructure, ACD (Automatic Call Distribution), CTI(Computer Telephony Integration), and Session Manager Routing utilizing industry solutions to solve call center related issues
- Management, Design and Implementation of Avaya IP Telephony infrastructure and functional solutions by translating business requirements into project plans through implementation of Avaya IP Telephony solutions including Avaya Communications Manager, Avaya Session Manager, Avaya Gateways, Avaya Voice Portal, Application Enablement Services and Avaya Interaction Center
- On-call availability 7/24 as part of a rotation schedule
Experience/Skills:
- 7+ years of IT/Voice-related experience
- Experience designing and implementing within the Avaya IP Telephony Infrastructure suite of products
- Must be very strong with Avaya Communication Manager Version 6.3+, Avaya Session Manager, and Breeze
- Experience with SIP, SBC's, VoIP, QOS, COS, VLAN, etc.
- Experience with Network Protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet, SNMP, etc.)
- Experience with SolarWinds, VoipMonitor and IR Path monitoring is a plus
- Experience with Asterisk versions 11-13 is a plus
- Understanding of switch/routing (vector-based call routing)
- Need to be able to troubleshoot SIP pathways
- Omni Channel is a plus
- Must have strong H.323, SIP, and voice over IP networking knowledge
- Must have experience working in Multi-site and hybrid configurations of enterprise level IP and TDM environments
- Solid knowledge of circuit switching architectures and technology (e.g. signaling, dial plans, trunking, etc.)
- Advanced experience architecting and managing on premise and cloud-hosted voice environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
