Role Overview

The Marketing Technology Consultant serves as the lead for custom marketing technology engagements.  You will be responsible for engaging with the client and with your team gather their business requirements and convert these into technical solutions.  You will oversee the delivery of the solution and constantly provide technical expertise ensuring that the technical architecture is operational and secure throughout the process

You will resolve technical issues as and when required and escalate out of scope work.

As a Senior Consultant you are a resource with deep application and feature knowledge as well as specific technology domain expertise.   You will possesses at least five years of client facing experience working on complex software and data driven projects.  In addition to relevant technology domain expertise, you will lead a team of Technical Consultants ensuring they deliver the highest quality client work.

Responsibilities

  • Involved at the pre-sales instance, assisting the Account team in understanding the nature of possible solutions
  • Lead complex engagements spanning multiple functions within the client organisation
  • Lead a technical delivery team
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the client’s business strategy and key objectives in order to provide the ultimate solution that ensures engagement success and value realization
  • Initiate the discovery process through leading requirements gathering workshops, taking clients on a journey to the solution
  • Undertake technical audits of the client’s IT personnel and the technical ecosystem to understand data sources, current technology platforms and available solutions
  • Create a high level executive vision for the project and secure buy-in
  • Architect technical solutions in collaboration with the client and internal teams, ensuring all risks are avoided
  • Unpack high level vision into multiple, deliverable work streams, and providing guidance and oversight to the technical delivery teams, around execution of work streams
  • Deliver or manage the delivery of the final solution, at all times ensuring that methodology, tools and best practices are adhered too
  • Identify additional opportunities with the client
  • Validate and audit solutions to ensure they conform to the solution design and meet client objectives
  • Regular interaction with the client throughout the project lifecycle, providing feedback, highlighting possible issues, constantly ensuring that stakeholders are comfortable that the solution roadmap is being adhered too

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Information Systems
  • 5 years of leading the delivery of multi-solution engagements
  • Strong understanding of internet architecture and database structures
  • Proven 3 years Online marketing experience essential, including experience in one or more of the following platforms;
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Adobe Experience Cloud
    • IBM Watson Campaign Automation
    • Oracle Responsys or Eloqua
    • SAP Hybris
    • Other related platforms e.g. Marketo, Seligent, PEGA, etc.
  • Experience with marketing integration platforms such as Salesforce Mulesoft or Dell Boomi
  • Proven 5 years of Integration experience essential
  • Technical writing skills, aimed at a non-technical audience
  • Proven multitasking skills in handling simultaneous multiple projects
  • Experience of managing teams of technical and non-technical people
  • Ability to lead and effectively manage technical discussions with both team members, management and clients
  • Strong numeracy and administration skills
  • Enthusiastic and confident individual with the ability to interact well with people of all levels personally and professionally
  • High energy levels and a strong team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven, hands on executor and results oriented individual
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Strong negotiating, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills essential
  • Proven Customer-focused work ethic with high standard of service and quality control
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of business English grammar
