Greystone Technology is looking for creative, self-accountable IT professionals to engage in our fast-paced, people-driven service model. Average IT people tend to be great at solving technical issues, but poor at understanding the true problems that need to be solved.

We’ve redesigned the way technology services are provided – from the ground up. We don’t start with solutions; we start with questions. Lots of them. Then we listen. Service providers have a well-earned reputation for sharing the answer before knowing the problem, resulting in businesses getting solutions they don’t need to problems they don’t have.

If you think differently, solve creatively, and love to connect with people, we want you to join our mission of digging deep and proving how meaningful IT services can be. It’s as common sense as it is revolutionary.

In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Technical Consultant (in other companies your job title could be Network/Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, Technical Account Manager, or you could be an aspiring IT Manager) to join our Managed IT team. The Technical Consultant holds the ultimate accountability for a dedicated client base’s technology needs and satisfaction. You will also mentor the engineers on your team in technical and business acumen. You will need to think outside the box to find solutions that fit your client’s needs and expectations. This role will be located in our Boulder office.

Additional responsibilities include the following:

  • Business strategy and solutions consulting for your clients
  • Acting as an escalation point for your Engineers
  • Build long term relationships with our clients that are based on mutual trust
  • Be accountable for providing and supporting all tiers of service
  • Ticket management and documentation
  • Learning independently about our clients’ ever changing systems
  • Working both in our office and on location with our clients

Here are the attributes we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years’ experience in an outsourced technology environment
  • The mentality of a coach and mentor (you like to share your knowledge and expertise)
  • The ability to understand business problems through a technology lens
  • The ability to communicate at all levels in our clients’ organization
  • The ability and desire to work on a dedicated team
  • A focus on thinking critically over relying on technical expertise
  • An empathetic person who has the ability to understand the perspective of our client’s users
  • An ability to ask the right questions to discover the context of general client issues
  • Ability to maintain confidence in the face of ambiguity
  • A positive, courteous demeanor and the ability to communicate professionally under pressure
  • An inherent commitment to serving your client
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of authentic connection, candor, and open feedback
  • The confidence, self-awareness, and integrity to take ownership of your successes and failures and learn from them

Preferred technical skills include experience with the following:

  • Microsoft platforms (e.g. Office 365, Active Directory, all current flavors of Windows)
  • Advanced knowledge of networking principles (TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, Lan/Wan, VLAN, Layer 3 Principles)
  • Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V)
  • Cloud solutions
  • Firewall/router configuration
  • Security principles (general security concepts)
  • Peripherals (scanners, fax machines, printers, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting standard hardware configurations
  • Malware/virus remediation
  • Basic Apple troubleshooting
  • Learning and supporting various line of business applications
  • Backup and disaster recovery concepts

We are proud to be recognized as one of the top workplaces in Denver. In fact, it’s Greystone Technology employees themselves who say our company is a great place to work. We’ve created an inviting workspace that fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excitement. Some of the things our employees enjoy include:

  • Competitive wages
  • Generous benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability Insurance, & 401(k) program
  • Very generous paid time off program that is unique to the IT industry
  • Sustainable work-life balance and flexibility

We’re looking for smart, highly-skilled, passionate people to help us do something daring, difficult, and incredibly rewarding. If you’re ready to learn, be inspired, solve problems, grow professionally, and unleash your talent, apply today!
