Truewerk is looking for a Supply Chain Planner with strong analytical skills and apparel experience. You will be expected to both think strategically and execute tactically. To be successful in this position, you must possess a persistent attention to detail and a strong aptitude for numbers. This position calls for thoughtful influence within the organization and with partners and you should be a clear and precise communicator. This position will report to the VP of Finance and Operations.       

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and compile forecast from Sales. Analyze forecasted demand, inventory and sell-through to develop a purchasing and production plan 

  • Create, iterate and update tools needed to monitor and provide visibility to plan

  • Successfully balance planning inventory to support growth and cash flow needs

  • Evaluate risks around quality and timely delivery and implement contingency plans

  • Negotiate fabric production and storage plans with mills

  • Partner with logistics to determine and execute optimal supply chain for material shipments, incorporating both cost and customer service metrics

  • Participate in weekly update meetings with internal team and external suppliers

  • Identify improvement opportunities, marshal resources, and drive projects to completion, to achieve targeted measurable benefits

Capabilities

To be successful at a fast growing company you’ll need to possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work well in smaller teams, communicate effectively and be able to interface with suppliers in a professional and personable way.

  • 3-5 years experience in Supply Chain Planning. Apparel experience a must.

  • Education: university degree, technical certifications, apprenticeship completion. We are looking for an educational background built on the acquisition of skills and developing the knowledge required to solve problems. A familiarity or personal experience with trade work would be a bonus

  • Familiarity with the Google suite of products (Docs, Sheets, etc.)

  • The ability to leverage technology effectively and learn new tools and processes with ease. We use a wide range of tools including Slack, Trello and Whatsapp

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to monitor multiple projects simultaneously and overcome obstacles

  • A desire to join a fast growing company
