Job Description:

The Supply Chain Analyst will report to the Director of Operations or CEO (company dependent) and will be an integral part in helping to manage the supply chain for each brand. More specifically, the Supply Chain Analyst will help strategically plan and manage logistics and customer order management, manage inventory levels of both raw materials and finished goods, develop and implement new processes and systems, as well as manage custom supply chain projects as needed. This position will collaborate with several other functions within the organization such as sales, marketing, and finance.   Candidates will have the opportunity to learn about building and scaling a fast-growing CPG business from a team of seasoned business professionals who love working together!  To apply, send your resume to [email protected].

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Strategically plan and manage logistics and transportation, actively manage warehouse stock levels, and proactively communicate with key customers and distributors.

  • Keep track of quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics
  • Develop optimal transportation modes, routing, and frequency
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes,

product volumes or mixes, or carriers

 

• Manage inventory levels of finished goods and raw materials:

  • Keep track of internal finished stock levels, raw materials, delivery times and costs
  • Work with Director of Ops/CEO on procurement related projects including specific cost reduction, dual sourcing and co manufacturing
  • Regularly communicate with vendors, the manufacturing facility and distribution warehouses with updates and changes to finished goods and raw materials

 

• Develop and implement new processes and procedures:

  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate analyses and supply chain with existing business systems or processes, such as sales, marketing, accounting, other operations requirements

• Manage custom supply chain projects as needed.  As this is a small and growing business, the Logistics Manager will need to wear many hats and open to undertaking other duties as they arise

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years previous successful experience in supply chain and logistics management; experience in a food or CPG preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in relevant software
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills and the ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form
  • Positive outlook and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to be flexible with assignments and multiple priorities
  • Ability to creatively problem solve
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, calculator, phone, printer, copier and fax
  • Solid competency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word
