Guild is hiring a Student Operations Reporting Manager to partner with our Student Services and Operational teams to enhance the efficacy of Student Services and the success of our students by improving our internal operations.

You will sit at the intersection of student services, operations, data, and technology. You will collaborate with student services teams to find opportunities, remove friction points for employees and students, develop dashboards to track performance, and optimize the capabilities of the team. Additionally, you will use data to develop critical Operational reporting and dashboards, to make recommendations for improvement (which translate into people, process, or technology changes), to preemptively identify risks, to support better operational discipline, and to help tackle unique, sophisticated problems. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working cross-functionally to build the best experience, interpreting data to make informed decisions and recommendations while working to improve the overall effectiveness of our student services teams.

As Student Operations Reporting Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for partnering with the student services and operations team to analyze and develop critical reporting and dashboards
  • Collaborate with student services to develop performance metrics and create related dashboards and tracking
  • Work closely with our operations and student services teams to iteratively improve the efficiency of our coaching operations by using data driven insights
  • Partner with the decision and data science team to proactively identify areas of opportunity, measure the effectiveness of different strategies, and make data-informed decisions
  • Partner with the systems and tools team to make recommendations on scalable operational tools, products, and measurement systems that enhance our coaching teams ability to optimally coach their students
  • Work cross-functionally to optimize our student services teams, identify roadblocks, develop strategies, while planning for anticipated future changes
  • Partner with the student operations team to provide critical data driven insights to influence the performance metrics that ladder up to the strategic goals and objectives of the organization, setting targets based on historical trends

Required Competencies

  • Ability to analyze sophisticated business problems and develop processes and frameworks to help Guild scale
  • Have a positive demeanor and a can-do mentality
  • Ability to prioritize and build a successful working relationship with a variety of internal partners
  • Have strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to balance multiple projects while hitting deadlines on time-critical projects
  • 3+ years of experience in reporting and analytics supporting the operations of an organization
  • 2+ years of experience working with Business Intelligence tools like Looker or Tableau to communicate compelling insights
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience in data quality improvement techniques
  • Prior experience supporting and optimizing cross-functional teams
  • Ability to execute quickly with high attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Comfort presenting to and interacting with internal senior leaders with the ability to win over strong personalities and reconcile competing points of view through data-driven storytelling

Preferred Competencies

  • Experience working for both startups and established organizations is a plus
  • Self-starter with a high degree of motivation to learn and go above and beyond
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, process implementation, project management, and logical reasoning skills

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $85,000-$107,500, as well as company stock options.
