The Senior Technology Specialist is the person on the ground performing updates, implementations and deployments for new roll-outs. Being a knowledgeable resource in the needs of customers, the limitations of software and hardware and having a technical mind, he/she will provide assistance to discover root causes to end-user and network issues. He/she will also be responsible for advising and assisting users in resolving problems related to software, hardware, the network and peripherals among many other things. The Day-to-Day

Responsibilities: Performs the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related systems. Assists in determining suitable software to meet user requirements. Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to personal (desktop or laptop) computers. Responsible for advising and assisting users in solving problems related to hardware, software, networks and peripherals using available technology. Studies and analyzes system needs, troubleshoots technical problems and trains users. Assists in the development, selection and installation of information center tools. Evaluates new and existing software products for opportunities of improvement and efficiency. Advises users on the interpretation of IS reports and report capabilities, limitations, etc. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

Qualifications: Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience.
