About the Team:
The FIS Export Control & Trade Sanctions Compliance team is part of the broader Compliance Program at FIS. The team plays a crucial role in various areas of sanctions compliance including, but not limited to, investigation and escalation of sanctions alerts, management of true sanctions matches, execution of alert quality control reviews, management of sanctions lists, production of management information and reporting, review of sanctions risk assessment methodology and results, tracking of internal and external sanctions issues and oversight of tuning, configuration and automation of sanctions technology.

What You Will Be Doing:
Provide support to the Director of Export Control & Trade Sanctions Compliance in carrying out day-to-day sanctions compliance controls.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain sanctions competency matrix and training plan

  • Periodic review of sanctions training content

  • Produce sanctions MI, reporting and trend analysis

  • Periodic review of sanctions enterprise-wide risk assessment methodology and output

  • Oversee sanctions system testing and tuning processes

  • Liaise with issue owners to track and oversee remediation of sanctions self-identified issues and regulatory, compliance monitoring and audit findings

  • Liaise with other FIS risk and compliance functions in relation to independent compliance monitoring testing and quality assurance controls

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience

  • 5-7 years of sanctions and/or financial crime compliance experience with a financial services institution, technology company, major consulting firm or government agency

  • Well-versed in global sanctions requirements, risk factors and governance framework

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and excellent people management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Organizational and time management skills

  • Strong Project Management Skills and experience

  • Ability to work remotely
