The global security director will lead and manage a global staff of security guards and oversee third party vendors. Proactively develop and lead physical operational safety measures concerning Fanatics and their employees. Responsible for the design, installation and integration of security systems equipment including, but not limited to, Access Control/Intrusion Detection and Surveillance systems. The Global Security Director will also be responsible for the continuous review of existing standards and will stay abreast of developments in new technology that will enhance the physical security of Fanatics buildings and co-locations. The selected candidate will also have responsibility for our Product Security program with our Brands organization.

General Responsibilities

  • Establish physical security operations management globally across multiple sites
  • Act as a point of contact for all Fanatics security: including operational oversight and of monitoring video and access control through review of audit reports and security systems
  • Design of physical security system for new construction, expansion and retrofit projects.
  • Project management of multiple concurrent security system or installation projects.
  • Subject Matter Expert for physical security system testing and acceptance, and assuring operational readiness at project completion.
  • Oversee the development, revision and implementation of the emergency response & business continuity plans for the Fanatics campuses including development of plan and program documents, exercises, and training.
  • Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team and the Corporate Safety Committee
  • Serve as contract administrator for all AED and first aid equipment at Fanatics locations including servicing, placement, and training
  •  Investigate and review onsite accidents and incidents and coordinate a response with other departments needed
  • Identify potential risks to all campuses, its employees, guests, and assets through regular site visits, risk assessments, observations, and data analysis.
  • Follow up with supervisors and operations staff to correct safety hazards.
  • Monitor incident and injury data to identify trends and develop corrective actions; provide periodic reports to illustrate the effectiveness of safety initiatives and the overall impact to Fanatics.
  • Develop written materials including safety reports, policies, newsletters, and toolboxes
  • Lead effort to implement, monitor and maintain a product security program with our Brands organization, protecting product leaks and the theft of pre-release products.
  • Partner with HR on all investigations

General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of security (alarm and video monitoring) systems as well as operating procedures of all offices and facilities
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Work with diverse teams and cultures.
  • Ability to function within a remote working team.
  • Working knowledge of legal contracts, budgeting, and security technologies ·
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately to meet tight deadlines and prioritize.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills in dealing with employees or external customers/clients and also communicates effectively with senior management and leaders across the organization to determine security priorities and direction
  • Proficient in displaying professionalism and trustworthy demeanor
  • Capacity to react quickly in sensitive situations
  • Strong partnership skills, working across all levels and divisions within our organization
