JumpCloud (www.jumpcloud.com) is searching for motivated and experienced technical sales engineers who ultimately desire seeing our customers successfully using our product. We built a new technology called Directory-as-a-Service® and it is disrupting a two-decade old monopoly, giving organizations freedom of choice with their IT solutions. Our product has become mission critical for thousands of organizations around the globe.
Due to our growth, we are looking to scale our team with inspired technology professionals who love the challenge of identifying the needs of our potential customers and working with them to ensure we understand their needs and pains and the customer can fully appreciate the value of our Directory-as-a-Service® (DaaS) platform and how it will integrate with their specific environment.
In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with our amazing sales team to drive prospects towards a complete technical understanding of how JumpCloud will bring them success with their identity and access management needs. You will help prospective customers and our MSP partners understand the power of JumpCloud, explaining technical features and problem-solving any potential roadblocks. Further, this role will work with our Implementation Engineering and Customer Success teams to ensure that once a deal is closed, that we deliver on what we committed to, ensuring customer success. Our Solutions Engineering team will be as passionate about our customers as they are with our products.
In this position, you will:
- Work with our sales team to help identify current and future customer requirements while matching customer requirements to JumpCloud product capabilities.
- Work directly with prospects to assist with their product testing, including requirements analysis, and integration needs to shepherd a technical trial to success.
- Leverage your technical depth, passion and prior experience to provide customized ‘deep dive’ demonstrations of the JumpCloud platform, on boarding optimizations and scripting, and product integrations to audiences over the web and in-person (when required).
- Work with our Implementation Engineering and Success teams to design playbooks to assist customers with more effective roll-outs and product operations.
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Provide prospects and customers with technical guidance on integrations, scripting or other solutions to ensure successful implementations.
- Through coaching and technical sales, drive sales closure, shorten sales cycles and ensure sales goals and objectives are achieved.
- Work to understand the customer’s business needs and translate those needs and requirements for internal teams: Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Engineering.
We’re looking for… A passionate technical sales person who delights in solving customer pain points with our cloud forward product.
- 3 or more years of experience in a technical, customer-facing position. Ideally in IT solutions and/or DevOps processes and practices
- Phenomenal abilities to demonstrate and articulate our product and company in front of technical audiences.
- A strong desire to see customers win and be successful in their positions through the utilization of our Directory-As-A-Service software.
- Experience serving in the capacity of a technical sales engineer in a SaaS environment or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role (including working as a member of a professional services or systems engineering team).
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer-facing environment.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to haves:
Previous work experience as an IT Admin or SysAdmin in a technical domain and a basic understanding of the following technologies would be amazing.
- Directory Services (Active Directory, LDAP)
- Networking & Authentication (RADIUS a plus!)
- Single Sign-on
- SAML protocol
- Windows, MacOS and Linux Operating Systems
