At Twilio SendGrid we’re focused on developing and expanding our world-class, cloud-based transactional email platform. We’ve revolutionized the transactional email space by powering the infrastructure for thousands of companies that rely on us to send billions of emails each month. Twilio SendGrid is a fast moving, lean company where every team member has a huge stake in the company’s success. If you are equally adept analytically as with marketing strategy and execution, then Twilio SendGrid may be the perfect environment for you.

As part of Twilio SendGrid’s Professional Services team, your primary responsibilities are to quickly and successfully onboard customers by building technical relationships, learning about their business and operational requirements, communicating the value of Twilio SendGrid’s platform, and enabling customers to successfully implement Twilio SendGrid’s APIs and services.  You will work in conjunction with Account Executives, Solutions Consultants, Delivery Consultants, Customer Implementation Managers and Customer Success Managers for technical integration of new customers and account optimization of existing customers. During these implementations, you will troubleshoot code issues, provide product workarounds, test and verify scenarios, suggest subuser/domain/IP segmentation strategies, provide assistance in the DNS authentication process, and provide API workflows for building scalable multi-tenant architectures based on the customer needs.

The perfect candidate is at ease sitting down with developers, product managers, and C-level executives and advising them on the best ways to utilize cloud communications technology.  You should love engaging with customers, building relationships, and driving the technical implementation cycle.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Customer Implementation Manager to educate new customers on the Twilio SendGrid platform architecture, integration capabilities, and best practices for implementing common use cases
  • Understand customer requirements and communicate the technical and business value of solving customer communication needs using Twilio SendGrid product features
  • Provide scalable architecture recommendations based on industry, as well as, Twilio SendGrid product specific best practices
  • Provide detailed product training to make sure clients understand how to use the different components of the product when necessary
  • Help troubleshoot API/SMTP/DNS issues that are encountered during implementations
  • Create visual, customer-facing collateral for API workflows and architectures
  • Assist the customer’s Engineering and Product teams with all technical questions that arise during implementation of Twilio SendGrid’s platform
  • Collect and provide customer feedback to incorporate into Twilio SendGrid’s product roadmap and planning process

A portion of your time will be spent on continual education of Twilio SendGrid’s evolving products, services and internal process improvements. This is accomplished with self-service trainings, product webinars, internal documentation, and by shadowing colleagues. One of Twilio SendGrid’s core values is “Draw the Owl,” and an ideal candidate will tackle new challenges and problems with this mindset.

  • 3+ years demonstrated success in a client-facing consultative technical role
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field desired
  • Technical sales/support experience with SaaS software solutions and/or email service providers

  • Accountable - Being willing to answer for the outcomes resulting from their own choices, behaviors, and actions. Take ownership of situations that they're involved in
  • Self Motivated - Motivated to do or achieve something because of one's own enthusiasm or interest, without needing pressure from others
  • Focused - Achieve what they set out to do before launching new initiatives. Complete company-linked goals and tasks, not simply to be busy and active
  • Collaborative - A keen ability to support cross-functional projects and decisions. Gets energized from working within a team and cross-functionally to achieve the company's goals

This position will be located in our Downtown Denver office. You will enjoy our incredible perks: catered meals, snacks, game room, ergonomic desks, bi-weekly All Hands and more. What you will also get to experience is a company that believes in small teams for maximum impact; that strives to balance work and home life, that understands that this is a marathon, not a sprint; that continuously and purposefully builds an inclusive culture where everyone is able to do and be the best version of themselves.
