Software Engineering Manager, Integrations

We are looking for a strong leader to join as an Engineering Manager for Supplier Integrations. For us, a Supplier is company that we integrate with to book hotels. Any integration has a number of functions that have to built (search, book, cancel, etc…). As our company scales we have a number of integrations that we are building as well as maintaining and we need a manager that can be a strong project manager as well as understand the technology. We have contractors that are working on these integrations and we need someone that will work with them as well as Product Management to build, maintain and monitor our integrations.
What you will do:
Manage contractor teams (each team will have a lead from our contracting partner)
Work with Product Management to decide which Supplier Integration we will work with next
Work with Supplier Relations to make sure we have all the necessary pieces for our teams to get started on an integration
Monitor our current integrations to ensure we are working from a technical perspective
Monitor our suppliers for upcoming API changes so we can prioritize that work
Help our teams optimize our integrations by being a technical expert on APIs, SOAP, REST, Webhooks, etc…
Work with our integration partners to resolve technical issues prior to starting an integration or after we’ve begun work
Tech we use:
NodeJS
AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Firehose, etc…)
Ruby on Rails
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Software Engineering
4+ years of management (preferably across multiple teams)
Experience with managing API integrations
Experience with external contractor teams
Experience with scalable systems
Experience with AWS
Cash compensation:
- The total cash compensation for this role is $145,000-$180,000/year with an annual bonus target of up to 15%. Overall Total Earning potential including the bonus is $166,750-$207,000 plus stock options. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above
Remote opportunities:
- This role is eligible for remote work and you can work from anywhere in the U.S.
