The Senior Systems Business Analyst is responsible for ownership of a specific area of the Pax8 platform. He/she is responsible for gathering, translating, managing system requirements from cross-functional stakeholders to our team of Software Engineers. The Business Analyst drives our product development and enhancements to help us reach our aggressive product development goals. He/she also manages projects and sprints through the software development lifecycle.

Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

• Identifying, documenting, and prioritizing technical and functional requirements based on brainstorms, feedback sessions, written functionality requests, and bug reports
• Working closely with internal stakeholders, Internal Operations Team and Software Engineers to gather, refine, and clearly document requirements
• Understanding and reconciling long-term vision with day-to-day requirements of the Pax8 platform
• Effectively communicating functional and technical requirements to cross-functional team members and management
• Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects via daily stand ups and weekly project status meetings
• Conducting meetings and presentations to review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents with Software Engineers
• Communicating with and obtaining buy-in from project stakeholders on how changes to our platform can improve efficiencies and add value
• Partnering with Internal Operations Team to act as liaison between internal stakeholders, vendors, users, and Software Engineers
• Ensuring that solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Communicating new feature releases and system functionality to stakeholders

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

• Four (4) to seven (7) years’ experience in Business Analysis or a related field
• Previous experience leading and supporting successful development projects
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
• Ability to manage competing resources and priorities
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to distill key ideas out of brainstorming sessions
• A team player accountable for results
• Previous experience with Agile/Scrum Software Development required
• Experience with Wrike, SQL, PowerBI, Salesforce, and Keynote preferred

Required Education & Certifications:

• B.A./B.S. in Business, Computer Science or a related field of study; or equivalent work experience
• Business Analyst Certification/Project Management Certification required
• Agile/Scrum certification preferred
