The ideal Network Engineer will have at least 5 years of experience in a professional, hands-on Networking Engineering role. You should have a demonstrable ability to review and make recommendations on vendor contracts and software as well as have excellent customer service and communication skills.  In addition, the ideal candidate will possess:

• Detailed working knowledge of a range of networking technologies, including:
  • Cisco switches and routers
  • Checkpoint Firewalls
• Able to demonstrate understanding of key networking concepts, including
  • TCP/IP
  • Layer 2 and layer 3 switching and routing
  • Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF
  • Security solutions such as firewalls, and VPN
  • IP Subnetting
  • DNS
  • SNMP
  • RADIUS
• In-depth troubleshooting and strong analytical skills
• An active CCNA certification preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

Ideally, you will have experience with some of the following vendors:

• F5 Big-IP LTM and GTM
• Extensive Cisco/Foundry/Brocade 
• BGP, OSPF and MPLS configuration 
• Checkpoint NGX               
• Juniper switches and routers 
• Riverbed
