As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be part of a proactive team responsible for enterprise network infrastructure, availability, cloud integration, security, web hosting, and enabling business operations across multiple sites.  This role is responsible for network architecture, implementation, and operations when partnering with business and platform engineering teams. 

What you will do:

  • Network Infrastructure Performance – 40%
  • Network Operations – 25%
  • Network Architecture – 25%
  • Voice Services – 5%
  • Vendor and Carrier Management – 5%

 Functions Include: 

  • Day-to-day administration of switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networking infrastructure, VPN concentrator
  • Wide Area Network Management
  • Network Monitoring, Alerts, and Management
  • AWS network design and Operations (VPN Gateway, Direct Connect, VPC)
  • Network Device Configuration and Implementation
  • Carrier and Vendor Management
  • Network Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Lead for Network and Voice Projects
  • Lead Voice engineer for design, implementation, and operations of voice services
  • Regular maintenance and upkeep of software and system configurations
  • On-call for emergency break/fix, planned changes to support new releases and monitoring/alerting
  • Capacity Planning
  • Architect highly scalable and stable network

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years as Lead/Senior Network Engineer for switching, routing, internet hosting, wireless and voice over IP environment(s)
  • Firm understanding of routing protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, with implementation and operations experience
  • WAN design and implementation
  • Cisco ASA administration and integration
  • Network design and architecture with Cisco routers/switches, firewalls, VPN, and WLAN
  • Exposure to Amazon cloud technologies (VPC, Direct Connect, VPN Gateway) experience
  • Systems experience with Virtual Networking, Active Directory Federation, Domain Services, Certificate Management
  • Network Monitoring for availability and performance
  • WLAN experience a plus
  • Prefer experience running multi-site network
  • Experience with web hosting a plus
  • Cisco CCNA, CCNP or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on team lead or mentor experience in networking and voice
