The Senior Marketo Administrator owns and champions the marketing automation system. They assist with system design, data integration, process definition, troubleshooting, campaign automation, data integrity and platform enablement. The Administrator works closely with our marketing, demand gen, and sales teams as well as our internal Tools & Technology team to ensure seamless GTM execution and maintenance of our data/reporting foundation. They are instrumental in driving the success of our core operations and GTM execution.

Essential Responsibilities and Percentage of Time Spent (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Manage administration and expanded use of marketing automation platform by building, maintaining, and optimizing a best-in-class system (15%)
  • Utilize Marketo best practices, including documentation, guidance, training, and enablement across varied functional teams (15%)
  • Continually create and manage platform performance, including users, roles, workspaces, programs, smart campaigns, smart lists, sync/system errors, forms, landing pages, tracking, automations, segmentation, lead routing, MQL structure, channel management, retention, privacy policies, manage a mature lead scoring, lead routing and lead management process (15%)
  • Continually create and manage integrations, including customer relationship management system, event management platform, webinar platform, ad tech, and other tools in the technology stack (10%)
  • Ensure a successful configuration, implementation, and maintenance of all marketing programs within platform (10%)
  • Develop Marketo Center of Excellence ensuring scalability, efficiency, best practices, and innovative approach; provide Marketo training, onboarding, and upskilling processes (10%)
  • Apply compliance and legal requirements (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, data security, branding, etc.) to Marketo; define user roles and develop guidance to support the compliance (10%)
  • Collaborate with marketing campaign, customer, and product marketing teams on Marketo strategy, campaign execution, A/B testing and processes (5%)
  • Proactively review and identify areas to increase efficiencies with automation (5%)
  • Work collaboratively across marketing functions to create seamless data and campaign flow in addition to mature processes for reporting (5%)

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least seven (7) years of experience working in marketing automation, operations/data and/or equivalent agency/consultant experience
  • At least five (5) to seven (7) years of experience working as a Marketo Administrator, current certification preferred
  • At least five (5) years of previous management experience in a similar role
  • Ability to establish and build a growing team
  • Demonstrated experience in SalesForce (specifically campaign, lead, contact, and account objects)
  • Experience collaborating with SalesForce admins, IT teams, sales, ops, and other non-marketing stakeholders
  • Experience in and deep understanding of data workflows, architecture, field syncs, campaign hierarchy, attribution, reporting, and lead management
  • Familiarity with commonly requested Marketo integrations and associated B2B technologies (CRM, Webinar, Sales Enablement systems)
  • Experience or familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive email coding preferred

Required Education & Certifications:

  • A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
