StarRez is the global leader in student housing and conference software with over 700 customers worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer with extensive Azure experience to join our Team.

 This role will see you involved in designing, implementing, and supporting our cloud solutions, with a heavy focus on automation and use of best-of-breed technologies, cloud platforms and solution stacks.  On a daily basis you will be: 

• Working as a senior technical escalation point within the Cloud Operations team
• Ensuring effective delivery of projects and initiatives, keeping key stakeholders updated
• Maintenance, security, reliability & uptime of single and multi-tenanted cloud platforms
• Driving continuous improvement across systems & processes, including documenting changes
• Performance tuning, system optimisation and application monitoring
• Automation & ongoing improvement to deployment of cloud environments, infrastructure & StarRez software
• Support, advice and mentoring of colleagues and teams across the business and technical teams based on your cloud expertise
• Available for OnCall rotation between Melbourne and Denver timezones

We want to hear from you if you:

• 5+ years’ experience and success in a Senior Cloud Platform Engineering, Senior IT Infrastructure or similar senior technical positions
• Outstanding knowledge of Systems/Platform administration fundamentals – including Monitoring, Maintenance, Security, Networking, Backups, DR, etc.
• Production experience with Enterprise-scale cloud platform solutions and hybridised environments
• Advanced scripting and language skills – PowerShell, SQL, C#, other
• Expert IaaS, PaaS, and cloud services experience in scaled environments
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud service provider solutions:
• AAD, ASP, WebApps, KeyVaults, CosmosDB, SQL, LogAnalytics, VMs
• R53, S3, SES, EC2, and other AWS or GCP services
• Good understanding of CI/CD concepts, build process, and development pipelines
• Supervisory Responsibilities: No
• Location: Denver Tech Center (DTC) Greenwood Village, CO
• Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment.
• Physical Demands: Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Travel: Occasional Domestic travel may be required for this position (with reasonable notice provided).
