POSITION SUMMARY:

 

ArcherDX has a unique opportunity for the right candidate to play a pivotal role as an Information Systems Security Analyst. This role will help manage, develop, as well as assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of the company wide information security program. The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, self-starter with a solid foundation in IT security knowledge and/or data security.

 

This successful candidate will be tasked to ensure the company wide IT infrastructure and its data are being operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with IT security policies & procedures outlined in the organizational IT Security and Data Privacy program. They will work alongside Senior level IT Security/Infrastructure personnel as well as Legal, Quality, Compliance and Regulatory teams to ensure the IT Security and Data Privacy programs are successfully managed as the company evolves/grows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage verification methods for security requirements and controls, execute tests and scans with security assessment tools, analyze test results, and prepare test reports
  • Create and/or verify all system security related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals
  • Perform security inspections according to the IT Security Program and develop and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for security related tasks
  • Review third party assessment results and address corrective actions to address vulnerabilities and finding closure actions with the stakeholders
  • Assist with comprehensive investigation of computer security incidents, assist with creating remediation plans when security incidents are reported or found
  • Assist with the development and is responsible for the updating of policies, processes and procedures that fall under the IT Security Program
  • When appropriate, recommend changes to area that will improve overall effectiveness of the information security program
  • Maintains constructive relationships with customers and business entities served and ensures such relationships exist throughout the organization.
  • Monitors and assesses operating results and creates and/or modifies process for continuous improvements
  • Review, understanding, and compliance with ArcherDX GDPR, HIPAA Security policies and procedures
  • Safeguarding the privacy and security of protected health information and European Union personal data
  • Willingness to travel to local offices up to 10% of the time

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 – 3 years of Information Security experience with IT solutions deployed on premise and in the cloud
  • Knowledge of IT Security and risk management frameworks (ISO, NIST, HITRUST etc.)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of network topologies, layered security architectures, network & host-based (Windows, Linux, Mac) protections, threat modeling, and security service management
  • Self-starter, takes direction well from Senior staff, and has the mindset to identify opportunities for improvement and implements positive change
  • Strong customer service skills; ability to interact with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate attention to end goal
  • Has strong desire to learn IT Security and Data Privacy in depth and width
  • Strong desire to maintain and improve an effective IT Security program
  • Project management experience or understanding of PM methodologies; utilizing and tracking tasks with proven project tracking tools

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered
