Salesforce.com Systems Analyst
The Salesforce.com Systems Analyst is a subject matter expert on a wide variety of areas/topics inside the Salesforce.com CRM system. As part of the technical team, this team member will work with business users and development teams throughout the complete project life cycle. Responsibilities will include driving the analysis of business requests in order to identify the best solution from a Salesforce.com perspective, authoring technical specifications, configuring declarative changes on the Salesforce.com platform and CPQ, and providing Salesforce.com support activities.
Responsibilities
Work closely with program staff, technical team members, project managers, and business users to help deliver projects ranging in size from minor enhancements to major multi-year initiatives.
Serving as a knowledge resource for Salesforce.com capabilities and best practices.
Reviewing and understanding general business drivers and context for development projects.
Defining the Salesforce configuration required to support requirements and business processes.
Configuring working prototypes and performing business process reviews to validate and refine prototypes.
Preparing formal project documentation deliverables, including specifications, requirements summaries, logical system design documents, state diagrams, test scripts, and end user documentation.
Advanced Salesforce configuration including:
Workflow Rules, Actions, Approval Processes, and Process Builder Flows
Custom objects and fields, including advanced formulas
Security best practices related to Profiles, Role hierarchies, Permission Sets and Sharing Rules
Sales Processes
Record types
Reports and Dashboards
Lightning Experience
Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick) Configuration
Customer and Partner Portals/Communities
Facilitating discussions with business users and others to define required features and mapping features to business processes.
Post-go-live support and optimization.
Basic Requirements
3+ years of progressive experience as a Configuration Specialist on Systems Implementation or Business Process projects.
Certification as Salesforce Administrator or equivalent experience
Demonstrated best practices regarding change management on the force.com platform
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively translate ideas, concepts and business process challenges/gaps
Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how IT needs to support the business in achieving revenue and profit goals
Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into clear, precise, and easy-to-read functional specifications and technical designs is critical
General knowledge of business operations (sales and service), strategies and objectives and strong facilitation, consensus building and presentation skills required
Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system-supported solutions
Must be able to handle multiple priorities at one time and remain results-oriented
Must work well both independently and in a team environment
Experience with Steelbrick CPQ
Coding and integration experience including Visual Force page creation, Apex class creation, and Integration with Salesforce.com API
Experience with ERP (preferably SAP) and CRM management in a large organization
