This role supports N. Amer/APAC sales through forecasting, managing special discounting, sales analytics, and continuous process improvements.  Works cross-functionally with Inside Sales and Service, Marketing, Product Management, and Accounting, as well as external customers as it relates to the business.

What You Will Do in This Role: The Sales Operations Specialist works under the general direction of the Manager of Global Sales Operations, supporting the field sales teams in the N. Amer./APAC Regions.

This role supports N. Amer./APAC sales through forecasting, managing special discounting, sales analytics, and continuous process improvements.  Works cross-functionally with Inside Sales and Service, Marketing, Product Management, and Accounting, as well as external customers as it relates to the business.    

Business Operations

  • Review and approve special pricing
  • Support sales teams regarding internal policy questions and training on new processes 
  • Participate in goal and quota setting process.

Salesforce.com

  • Responsible for the data quality of the sales forecast regarding correct pricing approvals, product line and distribution channels.
  • Responsible for reports and dashboards that give visibility to sales KPIs and pipeline health.
  • Provide training and support to sales teams on Spectralink processes within Salesforce.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements based on feedback from sales users. Gather requirements and collaborate with SFDC admin to drive continuous improvements.

Analytics

  • Collaborate with sales management in the maintenance and reporting of sales against quotas and generate monthly/quarterly revenue tracking information.
  • Produce high quality analytics on sales KPIs to track productivity, forecast accuracy, and pipeline growth.
  • Track customer credit requests against approved discounts; collaborate with accounting on accruals and credits issued.

Skills and Experience we’d like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or related discipline and/or equivalent years of industry related experience.
  • 3+ years industry related experience with sales operations, customer support, or finance required.
  • Ability to work independently and provide independent, accurate results.  Must be highly quantitative and analytical.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Salesforce.com.
  • Requires well developed data analysis skills and ability to use principles of logic to generate results.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow with ability to manage several simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to work and respond, when needed, to time zones outside of normal business hours
