Job Description

About the team:

The RCC team seeks a strong DevOps engineer with HP Nonstop (HPNS) experience, that will be supporting build and deployment of financial services software products for HP Nonstop systems. The candidate will interact with development, project and business groups to collect the necessary information required for releasing software products and more.

What you will be doing:

  • Produce code shipments using the VC shipment tool for Connex on HPNS, EBT/GOV on HPNS, and FILTERPAY on HPNS
  • Work with All departments (PM, SM, PO, DEVL, DC, TCO) to organize, coordinate, and deliver shipments
  • Help analyze risk from a VC and overall perspective
  • Stage the shipments to various environments (QC-P, AT, QC-R, PROD, DEVL)
  • Coordinate and verify shipments with 100% accuracy
  • Help Maintain the VC environment: Code library maintenance, Source code maintenance, Disk maintenance

What you bring:

  • 3-5 Years HP Nonstop experience is a must, including, TAL and TACL scripting language, HP NONSTOP subsystems and OSS (Tandem) – Required
  • HP Utility experience such as FUP, SCUP, PERUSE, and OS Guardian
  • Proven communication skills, organized, extreme attention to detail, reliable and team player
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience

Additional helpful experience:

  • Knowledge of the system development life cycle; understand concepts of code development, code management, and Version Control
  • Experience Coding, Designing Developing and Analyzing Data
  • Experience In automating tasks using TAL/TACL macros
  • Experience of relational databases, including writing queries in NonStop SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge in Windows, Linux/Unix batch programming experience
  • Knowledge of C++, C, TAL, COBOL programming languages
  • Ability to drive solutions end-to-end with vendors, system administrators and other stakeholders
  • Testing applications as needed to validate changes

Tell us if you have:

  • Experience with Connex HP Version Control system, or other Version Control systems
  • Experience with Connex/Tandem or EBT/GOV on HPNS
  • Knowledge of FUP edit teedit, HPNS SQL, SQLCI, INSPECT, DDL, and ENFORM.
  • PowerShell, Advanced Unix Shell programming
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TFS
  • Development skills in other programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and/or .NET
  • Previous experience with FIS supported products (debit, credit, fraud, etc.)
