The Relationship Development Specialist, ePay (RDS) is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new ePay (electronic payment technology) sales prospects and leads to support the Supplier Field sales team.  This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research.  A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Builds relationships and facilitates outreach communications from GHX suppliers
  • Coordinates regional events/dinners to support prospecting efforts
  • Introduce GHX’s ePay solution and identify appropriate buyers within the healthcare market
  • Develops emails and marketing campaigns highlighting end-to-end solutions, implementation approach, best practices, key differentiators, and demonstrated value
  • Collaborates with Marketing, Customer Support and other internal GHX departments on the positioning of current and future offerings to addresses customer pain points while driving overall end-to-end customer value and satisfaction
  • Build and cultivate relationships by initiating and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities into the sales funnel
  • Develop and accomplish a lead generation plan that exceeds quota targets
  • Cultivate the pipeline by acting on field marketing leads and conducting outbound calls
  • Generate prospect lists leveraging social media, conference attendee lists, data.com, salesforce.com and the internet
  • Cultivate prospects via cold calls, mass communication and individual outreach such as email and social media
  • “Focus on the customer” by understanding their industry, business and challenges
  • Understand and articulate the ePay solution and overall GHX product portfolio
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce.com, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached
  • Partner with sales management to determine strategic approaches for sales
  • Appropriately qualify all leads and establish an action plan
  • Identifies the pain points of the customer on-the-fly and successfully demonstrates how GHX solutions will provide value to prospects organizations
  • Develops and delivers messaging that positions the sales team as trusted advisors with customers and prospects
  • Analyze and create targeted communications using industry reports, financials, announcements, press releases, social media for prospective accounts and prospects

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, marketing, public relations and/or project management
  • 1-2 years’ experience in electronic payment technology
  • Knowledge of basic AP/AR process and terms
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills with demonstrated success in building and sustaining internal and external relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, time and project management skills
  • Ability to perform individually and as part of a team environment.
  • Excellent business acumen and ability to identify a customer’s pain points and develop tailored messaging to engage prospects
  • Experienced at leveraging social selling including Twitter, LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and eMail campaign solutions
  • Attention to detail in the creation and ongoing management of prospect lists.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality interactions to drive impactful prospecting activities
  • Highly effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite - experience with Salesforce or another CRM Software
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 4-6 times annually

 Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of the supply chain business processes specific to the healthcare industry
  • Experience utilizing GHX solutions
