We are seeking a Regional Operations Director to join our growing and dynamic team. Based in our Denver, Colorado headquarters, the Regional Operations Director will support our International Professional Employer Organization (PEO) service line by leading the client service operational teams in North America, including the United States and Canada. This individual will report to the Director of Global Employment Services.

At its core, this position will oversee day-to-day operations and will have responsibility over service delivery strategy. This role will interface with client groups, their employees we support and third party service providers around the world. This role calls for someone who is truly “high velocity,” where wearing multiple hats is key to success. The right candidate should also enjoy collaborative working relationships with team members, other departments and peers. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Regional Operations Director supports the Velocity Global Operations team across all aspects of the business
  • Support team on matters related to training, professional development and performance
  • Responsible for employee, client and in-country partner management by keeping constant communication
  • Create and manage employee on-boarding calendars by following and refining processes, and proactively gathering important employment information
  • Work with Global and Regional Accounts Managers to complete tasks within the timeframe established by the client
  • Continuously update and refresh Velocity Global internal knowledge management tools
  • Deliver a professional employee service experience by proactively keeping employees informed using Velocity Global corporate materials about expense reporting processes, systems and technology usage, etc.
  • Responsible for regional strategic planning and employee maintenance by implementing plans to prevent service issues and taking the necessary measures to correct and solve difficult situations with clients and employees
  • Drive employee satisfaction and retention with sincerity and passion, and approach trouble-shooting as an opportunity to establish integrity and value
  • Document and contract management
  • Communicate with domestic and foreign embassies on immigration matters for the employees we support
  • Unrelenting willingness to meeting committed timelines, including influencing global affiliates and clients to meet their agreed upon timelines and resource allocation
  • Research (via the internet and our own Velocity Global internal resources) challenging questions and client scenarios in order to present solutions to Velocity Global Management and clients
  • Create detailed position papers on international legal, HR, or tax-related client matters based on research, feedback from local affiliates, or information found on Velocity Global knowledge management databases
  • Develop and maintain competency in the area of international employment
  • Other duties as assigned…as a start-up, we embrace supporting ALL areas of the business

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 5+ years pf business experience (international business preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience and proven success in a client services division
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent work experience
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and show ability to unite and motivate a team, delegate tasks, communicate expectations and take corrective actions when needed
  • Demonstrated track record of contributing both strategically and tactically at a consistently high level
  • Strong consultative customer service and project management style. Must be an exceptional relationship manager by influencing others, managing and prioritizing client expectations
  • Research-oriented, exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly assimilate information; with operations across 180+ countries there is a lot to learn
  • Technology-literate, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Drive, strong work ethic, and a passion for creating an unparalleled customer experiences…it should be in your bones
  • Foreign language skills a plus
