Receptionist
Summary
As the receptionist you must be flexible, have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as members while providing a high level of customer support.
Description
- Efficiently answer all incoming calls (averaging 150 calls per daily shift), forward calls to the appropriate personnel/department, and take messages as necessary.
- Greet visitors, determine the nature of their business, and ensure that their needs are met.
- Assist with scheduling tour of the World Headquarters facility for visitors and coordinate tour with tour providers.
- Answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, fax number and other information.
- Receive special delivery/courier packages, log them onto a spreadsheet, and notify the appropriate department about their arrival.
- Maintain internal contact list.
- Ensure the lobby and reception area is maintained and kept picked up and well organized.
- Shifts are: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm or 2:00pm -7:00pm. We are hiring for the 2:00pm - 7:00pm shift. Flexibility to cover extra shifts when needed is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintains professional appearance
- Superior data entry experience with proven speed and accuracy
- Great listening skills
- Organized and able to multi-task
- Must be flexible and able to accept and adapt to change
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Non-profit or member support experience is a plus
Requirements
- Preferred 3-5 years multi-line reception and phone experience in a high call volume organization
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Requires an individual that truly enjoys working with people and is friendly, courteous, and professional
This position pays $17.00/hour and is non-exempt.
