Procurement and Facilities Specialist - Operations

The Procurement and Facilities Specialist is responsible for overseeing the cost-effective procurement of supplies, raw materials and equipment, inventory management, and receiving activities for StickerGiant. You will create systems and strategies to manage raw materials and all facility supplies including a standard procurement process and maintaining data accuracy. This position requires cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Production, Customer Success, Finance, IT, and Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide through the different phases of the procurement and materials management effort: sourcing and vendor selection, RFP preparation, technical and economical evaluation of proposals, issue of purchase orders, contract administration, evaluation of vendors performance, materials receiving, inspection and validation of material quality standards
Clearly and concisely communicate inventory shortages which could cause down-stream production issues
Manage current supplier relationships to ensure reliable and positive working partnerships and effective/efficient communication
Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes that add value and reduce costs
Gather data from outside resources to analyze market and historic data
Assess gaps of current inventory management and/or material management practices; identify and recommend software tools for use at StickerGiant
Create data models and systems for the management of raw materials and facility supplies
Document all internal processes and workflow diagrams including methodology for vendor selection, contract management, materials management and supply chain
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field is a plus; not required
1-3 years experience in vendor relations, supply chain, material procurement
Experience with lean manufacturing, lean production tools or Lean Six Sigma preferred
Experience with procurement or supply chain process improvement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
Understand procurement material management principles
Understand the dynamics of supply chain management principles
Very comfortable with Spreadsheets or Excel, especially vlookup functions, pivot tables, and “if” statements
Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate, and execute detailed work plans that support operational improvement
Experience in data gathering including the ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with and influence external vendors and internal stakeholders
Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment
