Pharma Partnerships Lead

To help realize our mission you will help drive our Biopharma Partnerships programs and support the team as they seek opportunities to collaborate with strategic partners and help to remove barriers to testing, reach more patients and providers, and build engaged patient communities. This role will report directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing and work cross-functionally with Commercial, Product and Regulatory teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Support Pharma Partnerships team with the objective of generating, securing and driving a pipeline of strategic opportunities with biotech, pharmaceutical, commercial , and strategic partners.
  • Help to identify and support the team on new partnership opportunities that would benefit from our broad genetic and genomic offering including cardiology, immunology, metabolic, neurology, urology and oncology. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to continue to build out expanded offerings for clinical trial testing in addition to Companion Diagnostic (CDx) co-development opportunities with partners.. 
  • Ensure the pipeline of opportunities across the team is diversified and focused on key areas of opportunity.
  • Support team members in the negotiation and establishment of partnership contracts based on model template documents, conduct due diligence and drive deal process to execution of contracts and related business agreements.
  • Support the Implementation Team for all contracts that become fully executed through completion of such projects/programs.  .
  • Support escalations and/or strategic decisions on current partnerships in addition to emerging programs and offerings based on customer needs and future acquisitions.
  • Develop annual OKRs that align to the broader corporate OKRs and update/modify as needed.  Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews and continue to align revenue recognition & forecasting to ensure annual goals are met or exceeded.
  • Work collaboratively with Medical Affairs, Legal, Product Development, Commercial, and other internal teams. 

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years demonstrated successful pharmaceutical and biotechnology enterprise level business development/account management experience
  • 5+ years of team leadership experience
  • Track record of successfully assessing new business opportunities and establishing large scale partnerships is preferred
  • Significant strategic planning experience and ability to conceive, design, implement, evaluate and manage programs and strategies
  • Strategic thinker who possesses solid business judgement and the ability to identify and evaluate risk and opportunity at the scientific, development and regulatory levels
  • Strong knowledge of the pharma/biotech advocacy, marketing, and product lifecycle
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding revenue generation plans
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills and political acumen to establish and maintain good working relationships within all organizational levels
  • Significant strategic planning experience and ability to conceive, design, implement, evaluate and manage programs and strategies
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – proactive, persistent, collaborative, and excited to tackle a wide range of new topics
