Performance Manager
COMPANY SUMMARY: EcoEnclose is a dynamic, fast-growing Colorado-based company that works with many of the most sustainable ecommerce brands on the planet. We develop, manufacture and distribute the most eco friendly shipping supplies in North America.
JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Performance Manager to assess and constantly improve the performance of our team members across all of our departments, through a combination of observations, shadowing, 1-1 coaching, group training, and systems improvements.
The ideal candidate can successfully achieve two goals: (1) help our team achieve increasingly ambitious daily, weekly and monthly goals; and (2) support the long-term professional development of each team member.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess and improve our systems for data collection on individual and departmental performance
- Analyze individual and departmental performance data
- Shadow, observe and ask questions of employees executing their day to day functions, identifying opportunities for both individual, team and systems improvements
- Conduct 1-1 professional development sessions with each employee, one to three times per quarter. Work with CEO and President on annual performance reviews and salary / wage changes.
- Design and review policies related to employee performance
- Identify strong performers and work with leadership team to identify plans for their development and growth. Establish incentive structures to encourage and reward strong performance.
- Assess team dynamics and identify ways to improve departmental culture and collaboration
- Provide training and development to departmental leads
- Identify, report, and resolve workplace or interpersonal barriers to performance
- Oversee hiring; recommending strong candidates for in-depth interviews
- Support onboarding, including codevelopment of training plans with department leads, to ensure all new hires are set up for success
- Maintain and strengthen organizational culture that aligns with EcoEnclose's four core values: We Strive to Be Our Best, We are Leaders, We Communicate Clearly and Directly, We Exude Positive Energy, We Are Eco Allies. Mediate conflicts that arise by leveraging our core values.
- Ensure successful Daily Production and Shift Change meetings
- Administrative execution of all HR processes, including working with brokers for insurance and benefits and establishing new hires in company systems
KEY SUCCESS METRICS:
- Ultimately, this person shares in the responsibility of all departments achieving their goals, which include: lead times on our orders, quality, response times on customer inquiries, customer satisfaction and reorder rates, and upholding of our core values
- Additionally, this person will enable our organization to constantly increase the goals and standards we set for our departments, allowing us to build more capacity and give employees opportunities for growth in their roles
- Individual and departmental performance metrics are known and utilized day to day to support and coach employees
- Each employee knows how successful they are in our organization, their strengths and specific focus areas for improvement.
- Strong employees are retained and given opportunities for growth
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of management experience, ideally across both administrative and production / warehouse workers
- 2+ years of experience with hiring, training / onboarding, performance management and coaching
- Strong commitment to people and organizational culture
- Quick learner
- Willingness and excitement to be hands in every day
- Proficiency with computer software that supports tracking and analysis (i.e. Google Spreadsheets and/or Excel)
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently

COMPENSATION: $50,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience
