Payment Support Specialist

The Risk Management team creates competitive advantage for OnDeck through excellence in risk/reward optimization while simultaneously exercising its function of control in a vigorous and diligent fashion. The Risk Management team develops strategies and models to extend credit in a profitable manner to small businesses and their owners based on a strong understanding of the behavioral and commercial drivers of its customers and on sophisticated analysis of data. As the control function of OnDeck, the Risk Management Team ensures that that the portfolio, policies, strategies, new product features or operational processes at OnDeck are consistent with the risk appetite set by the management team and the board.
The Payment Support teams provides OnDeck Merchants with payment options to fit their unique situations and businesses allowing them to maintain personal and professional dignity as they fulfill their financial obligation to OnDeck. As a member of the Payment Support team we care about our customer’s success and balance the company’s success while providing solutions that enable positive results.
As a Payment Support Specialist at OnDeck on the Payment Support Team, you will:
- You will make and receive calls to customers, discuss roadblocks to successful paying relationships and address general loan information.
- Use your strong negotiation skills to get non-paying customers back on track
- You will use empathy with our merchants to understand their situation and provide relevant solutions with real problem solving.
- Build a pipeline of existing customers to manage their various situations while maintaining the impact of a past due balance.

- High School Diploma
