PAYMENT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
A Payment Operations Specialist provides support in all aspects of customer payment processing. This position will provide excellent customer service while helping customers through any account issues or questions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Managing the ACH and Credit Card files generated by our customers throughout the day by reviewing customer’s processing history and reaching out to existing users to resolve ‘flagged’ items that exceed our audit standards
- Initiating the daily files for processing
- Having direct contact with our bank regarding any issues with the daily files or deposit discrepancies
- Underwriting customer’s information, including credit check’s, IRS Tax ID verification, importing customer data, and triple check information in internal systems vs. paperwork received from customers
- Processing bank and email changes
- Adding services to existing customer accounts such as the ability to process credit cards or change card types accepted
- Handling charge backs using internal and external systems
- Developing and maintaining relationships with our bank and be informed of changes to regulations or fees Procare or our customers might incur
- Updating internal systems with all activity/correspondence
- Interfacing with various departments to facilitate customer needs and requests
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures
- Ability to discuss account status or activity with customers
- High attention to detail
- Proper phone etiquette
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated proficiency in typing and grammar
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Effective listening skills
- Multi-tasking capabilities
- This is an in-office position
