Payment and Customer Service Representative

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Service, your best work will result in successfully juggling the needs of both the Customer Service and Payment Processing team on a daily basis.As a Payment and Customer Service Representative at OnDeck on the Customer Service team, you will:
- Be part of our Customer Service team and assist with the handling of Payment Processing for OnDeck
- Focus will switch between payment processing and customer service agent roles, generally 50/50, but may flex based on organizational need.
- Be a go-between for our Payment Processing team, Sales teams, Customer Service team, Payment Support teams and Customers
- Occasionally process daily wires, checks, refunds, fees and any other items required for efficient and accurate handling
- Approve all funding files necessary for approved customers
- Communicate with internal and banking representatives/MCA’s to ensure payments are allocated correctly.
- Handle multiple incoming requests through LiveChat, phone, and email and provide in-depth, knowledgeable answers
- Identify and solve potential and current problems by analysing information and data across multiple databases
- Identify and solve potential and current problems by analysing information and processes.
- Work in multiple tools including CALICO and Salesforce to accurately track and report Payment Processing.
- Work in multiple banking websites to create wire payments and wire transfers.
Qualifications to make it happen:Required
- You have 2-5 years’ experience in a Customer Support role and have a strong focus on service
- Attention to detail is a must
- You have a Bachelor’s degree, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You have a positive attitude, are team oriented, social, and fun to work with
- You feel empowered to help solve escalated issues. Works towards making a wrong a “right”
- You are technically minded and love keeping up with the latest technology
- You are flexible and adaptable to change
- You are able to multi-task at a very high level and maintain multiple deadlines
- You have proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferred
- Experience using Salesforce.com is a plus
- Banking/finance experience is a plus; retail background may be acceptable
