TrackVia is seeking an Operations Support Technician responsible for maintaining the integrity of site databases, computer workstations, and associated desktop/server software within the organization. This individual will operate as the main point of contact for employee desktop support in addition to providing tier 2 database support. You will be working with a team of strong DevOps engineers and the most modern technologies.

The ideal individual has 1+ years of experience in Desktop administration and an understanding of relational database administration. The candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills, as well as the ability to interact with leadership and thrive in a fast-paced startup. You will be a valued member of the team, responsible for operations of our office and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Investigate customer support requests and provide solutions
• Generate reports for business analysis
• Build laptops and load software for new machines
• Backup and wipe machines in accordance to company policies
• Manage backups, restores, applications and devices
• Assist in database migrations and upgrades
• Assist with software deployments
• Proactively monitor system health and performance (Datadog, Sumo Logic)
• Maintain mobile device test equipment
• Monitor employee machines for intrusion and malware detection
• Troubleshoot desktop connectivity issues
• Maintain an inventory of all IT company hardware
• Create and maintain related documentation
• Assist DevOps Engineers in maintaining corporate network (LAN, firewall, VPN)
• Assists in the Operations on-call rotation

Requirements

Must Haves:

• 2+ years experience in a desktop support environment
• MacOS administration
• Operational experience with Relational Databases
• Instructional knowledge of scripting tools
• Instructional knowledge of SQL
• Comfortable in a Linux environment
• TCP/IP skills
• Experience working with and developers and customer support teams
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal communications: articulateness, patience, listening skills
• Professionalism: promptness, attention to detail, organization

Nice to Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Windows, Android and iOS administration a plus
• Experience with management systems like Jamf and JumpCloud
• Experience with 2 factor authentication tools
• Experience with Amazon Aurora MYSQL database environment
• Experience with BASH or python scripting
