At Campfire Labs, we’re passionate about telling stories that inspire. But we’re motivated by a larger social mission. We’ve pledged 50% of our profits and equity to the Campfire Impact Fund, which is focused on fighting climate change.  This position will assist both Campfire Labs and the Impact Fund in operations, network development and event planning.

Responsibilities:

Grow Impact Fund network

  • Create a list of influential climate thought leaders, donors, political leaders, etc. 
  • Send thoughtful emails to set up meetings for senior staff

Plan content-related events in major U.S. cities to help Campfire Labs grow its revenue  

  • Find and book venues and speakers
  • Send cold emails to content marketing leaders at large tech companies to increase event attendance

Plan climate / tech community events for Impact Fund 

  • Find and book venues and speakers
  • Invite relevant attendees 

Hiring & onboarding

  • Manage the recruitment process and initial vetting of applicants as needed for either Campfire Labs or the Impact Fund
  • Onboard new employees & contractors to our systems and culture

Keep things running well

  • As needed, provide scheduling and administrative support for our senior staff, assist with content distribution and social media, help with various tasks for the Impact Fund, and more

Competencies: 

  • Experience with network-building and event logistics is a plus.
  • Building relationships: You love bringing people together and feel at home engaging with anyone. 
  • Attention to detail: You double-check your i’s and t’s to ensure nothing gets dropped or missed. 
  • Great communication skills: You follow up and follow through. You communicate clearly and consistently.
  • Systems thinking: You think about how to make processes scalable, and you can streamline projects that involve multiple people and ideas. 
  • Bias towards action: “Get shit done” is your default mode. You enjoy autonomy and are self-motivated. 
  • Values alignment: You believe in what we’re doing and never cut corners. 

Hours: Full-time

Location: Denver, CO

Salary: $40,000
