POSITION SUMMARY:

 

We are looking for a driven and talented Operational Excellence Lead to join the Assay Manufacturing group at ArcherDX.

 

The Assay Manufacturing group is responsible for making rapid and high-quality assays utilizing our Anchored Multiplex PCR (AMP™) technology for use in oncology, immunology, and constitutional genomics.

 

The Operational Excellence Lead is responsible for monitoring manufacturing operations, providing analysis and recommendations for process improvements, leading process improvement initiatives, and overseeing planning, scheduling, and manufacturing preparation activities in support of Research Use Only (RUO) product demand fulfillment. The Operational Excellence Lead will create level-loaded schedules for manufacturing while ensuring that production supplies are available in sufficient quantity to consistently execute the production schedule. This role will require cross-functional leadership skills in order to coordinate and prioritize manufacturing activities with multiple stakeholders. 

 

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Plan, schedule, and communicate production schedules across multiple operational functions.
  • Determine labor, equipment, and materials needed to address production demand.
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
  • Resolve issues to ensure uninterrupted demand fulfillment.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize RUO manufacturing for speed, quality, sustainability, and scalability.
  • Analyze production capacities to determine if the production schedule is attainable.
  • Monitor demand, schedule attainment, and established, on-hand inventory targets to help provide timely production plans and make necessary schedule changes.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to facilitate continuous improvement for planning and production. 
  • Generate purchase requests as required to maintain appropriate stock levels and support manufacturing activities. 
  • Actively communicate with key stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities related to the manufacturing operations.
  • Optimize inventory and supply chain activities and documentation for productivity.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience supporting fast-paced manufacturing environments
  • Experience working in a GMP environment
  • Demonstrated application of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Lean Green Belt Certification
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Ability to apply basic scientific and regulatory principles to solve scheduling issues.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Lean Black Belt Certification
  • Experience in the medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Experience with product development processes and project management
  • Experience implementing digital manufacturing systems, such as ERP and MES
