What are we looking for?

Golden Software is seeking a full-time office manager and order processing professional to join our customer support team. We are looking for a friendly, self-starting, and motivated individual who truly cares about helping both our customers and team members. This individual will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm from our office in downtown Golden, CO.

We develop, sell, and support scientific visualization software. Our products are used by individuals in environmental consulting, oil and gas exploration and extraction, engineering, applied science, business, education, and government. We have one of the best reputations in the industry for superior customer support. While our products are sold across the globe, we are a small company, and each team member takes on multiple roles to keep the company moving forward. 

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for the ongoing management of our Golden, CO office operations. You will also be responsible for processing customer orders and providing top-notch customer support by answering sales-related questions. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide phone and email support to customers
  • Create and process estimates, orders and payments, and invoices
  • Resolve past due invoices
  • Answer and screen incoming calls
  • Develop, implement, and oversee office policies and procedures
  • Develop, implement and oversee effective and efficient office workflows
  • Communicate customer feedback to stakeholders to improve our internal and external policies and procedures
  • Implement and manage inventory control system for office supplies
  • Coordinate all office activities
  • Oversee the maintenance of facilities
  • Plan and manage office services such as cleaning, catering, waste disposal, and parking
  • Provide support for the Golden Software team including executives, product managers, and developers
  • On board and train new hires
  • Greet visitors

Skills and requirements:

  • Previous office management experience
  • Experience using ERP or CRM tools
  • Experience with order processing
  • Experience with customer support
  • Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office tools

Optional, but great to have:

  • BS or BA degree
  • Experience with NetSuite, Zendesk, Jira, or Confluence
  • Experience in geoscience industries
