POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field based scientific expert that will be responsible for identifying and fostering ethical relationships with national, regional, and international thought leaders within a specified territory. The MSL will provide clinical and scientific information in response to inquiries about ArcherDx’s products to health care professionals, medical centers, government agencies, and HMO’s.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

  • Scientific Engagement
    • Proactively engage and foster ethical relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs)
    • Prioritize KOLs based on needs of medical plans
    • Tailor objectives specific to KOLs
    • Monitor and report on progress made toward achieving goals
  • Provide valid and unbiased scientific information within the context of medical products/devices
  • Identify potential opportunities with researchers, foster and maintain these relationships
  • Consistently provides clinical trial support by identifying, evaluating, screening, and providing scientific support to qualified research sites
  • Provide clinical presentations and information
  • Play a key role in the development and execution of medical affairs strategies
  • Be an internal thought leader to provide scientific input and field obtained advice and insights to internal stakeholders
  • Collect and interpret medical insights and feedback gathered from scientific exchanges while communicating with internal stakeholders to further define, update and support medical strategies
  • Assist with protocol, clinical trial and/or research study development, review, analysis and writing
  • Anticipate obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolve them in a collaborative manner.
  • Willing to travel 50-70%, regionally, nationally, and internationally
  • Review, understanding, and compliance with ArcherDX HIPAA Security policies and procedures.
  • Safeguarding the privacy and security of protected health information and European Union personal data.
  • Processing and handling of European Union personal data only as directed by ArcherDX for purposes of personalized molecular pathology.

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior MSL experience is REQUIRED
  • Prior experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries
  • Prior experience in oncology preferred
  • Knowledgeable of regulatory and compliance regulations and guidelines relevant to the industry
  • Prior experience establishing and maintaining long term relationships with customers and key thought leaders through scientific engagement
  • Experience to delivering effective, high quality scientific presentations and communicate scientific data to both internal and external customers

 

EDUCATION:

  • Advanced degree in Biomedicine: PhD, PharmD, or MD
