Our Supplier Relations team is looking for a Market Manager (Lodging) to manage one of our mid-market regions. In this role, you will execute the strategy, improve our processes and maintain relationships with critical hotel groups in order to acquire new partners for Hotel Engine. With an eye toward long-term growth, you’ll bring industry expertise, business acumen and a drive to achieve ambitious goals to your day-to-day activities. You’ll collaborate internally with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Sales teams to bring new products and programs to market and partner with hotel teams throughout your region as a dedicated account manager.
Responsbilities:
- Use tools and data to analyze your region’s performance and develop targeted operational plans to address the opportunities with the greatest potential for impact
- Execute the market plan while seizing opportunities to improve processes or outcomes
- Respond to inbound leads to develop a hotel business portfolio and strategic partner relationships leveraging leading Hotel Engine technology, marketing, brands and distribution globally
- Ensure metrics including average discount, inventory acquisition, conversion, and spend per booking are meeting or exceeding expectations
- Develop a strategy that ensures competitive advantage of our hotel products to maximize customer demand, conversion and marketplace growth
- Partner to resolve questions or issues with internal and external teams
- Drive engagement and growth with Hotel Engine’s brand, technologies and audiences via strategic marketing programs, merchandising opportunities, and promotions as well as relationships with press, partners, and industry influencers
- Commit to continuous improvement, innovation and learning alongside your Hotel Engine team members
- Compensation: Based on a base salary of $70,000 + commission
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management; business management or business administration; or equivalent work experience in the hotel or travel industry required
- Expertise in hotel business practices including pricing, inventory, and yield management
- Working knowledge of at least one hotel CRS system
- Reliable organizational, verbal/written communication and project coordination
- Possesses critical thinking and demonstrates initiative, attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven client service skills and practical team skills
