REMOTE / PHYSICAL SECURITY /FULL-TIME
We are looking for an exceptionally talented Manager of Physical Security Technology to work Remote. This individual is accountable for the integration and operationalization of critical systems to support the safety and security of Zoom employees and assets worldwide. In this role, you’ll direct the strategic vision of Zoom’s security operational technology systems, solutions, and integrated applications to secure Zoom’s people, properties, and data centers in compliance with physical security design standards. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Physical Security, the successful candidate will direct ongoing physical security technical programs and develop strategies to mitigate disruption of business operations or processes and protect against compromise, injury, damage, loss, or theft.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of specialists and contract vendors/integrators responsible for security technology design and implementation, upgrades, and assessments of security technology (access control, card readers, doors and locking hardware, camera surveillance, barriers, intrusion detection systems and alarms)
Provide leadership and guidance to security and workplace managers responsible for functions related to security technology project management, service administration, delivery, and maintenance
Continually develop, assess and define physical security design, engineering, and security systems standards, and audit compliance on a regular cadence
Review security designs and site drawings for accuracy and compliance with expected standards
Conduct risk/threat vulnerability assessments to determine gaps and design, plan, and budget for measures to provide the appropriate level of protection
Assist with design and implementation of a physical security operations center
Serve as the technical security subject matter expert within the Physical Security function.
Maintain personal effectiveness by keeping up with the trends and technology in the industry and by personal development activities
Identify potential risks through engagement with internal and external partners
Evaluate vendor performance and services and assist in sourcing in the development of Master Service Agreements when required.
Accountable for for all technical control requirements as a part of customer audits
Provide expertise and reporting on complex matters involving compliance
Creation of short-term and long-term planning, development of Request for Proposals, and accountable for associated budget
Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical area
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred
Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) preferred
Significant experience in either corporate security or law enforcement/military conducting physical security risk and vulnerability assessments, project management, and technical system installations both domestically and internationally
Broad understanding of critical infrastructure protection requirements, physical security technology controls, threat assessments, and innovative mitigation tactics and applicable regulatory requirements
Extensive knowledge and experience with facility security planning and design
Experience with security requirements for an enterprise data center or critical infrastructure environment
Extensive knowledge and experience with current security technology including access control, CCTV, identification media, NVR, and special applications in a corporate environment
Experience as a government or corporate technical security officer/technician designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining access control, video surveillance, physical security, visitor management, and threat mitigation solutions
Experience and in-depth understanding of sourcing and procurement models, tools, processes, and policies in a program/project/contract manager role (government equivalent - Contracting Officer Representative/Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COR/CORT)
High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgement, discretion, and diplomacy
Experience interfacing and collaborating with executives, peers, regulatory agencies, and external clients to develop solutions and gain consensus
Experience conceptualizing and executing on numerous initiatives and balancing competing priorities
Experience in recruiting, hiring, and leading high-performing team members
Fluency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Asana
Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
