Guild is one of Denver’s fastest growing startups - increasing economic mobility for working adults in America and providing education and support to help every student survive and thrive in the economy of tomorrow. Our education benefits platform helps employers offer education as a benefit to their employees, and our network of nonprofit universities and education institutions helps provide every Guild student with the right academic pathway to advance their education and career. In order to achieve our mission to serve 1000s more students and accelerate our growth, we recently raised a $21M Series B round with top tier investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Social Capital, Harrison Metal, and Cowboy Ventures. Now we’re looking to add a Manager of Enrollment Advising to the team.

As our Manager of Enrollment Advising, you will manage a team of Enrollment Advisors as they support prospective students while they navigate the enrollment process with one of Guild’s university partners. You’ll report to Corbin Schrader and partner with cross-functional colleagues in our Student Enrollment, Client Success, and University Partnerships teams to drive continuous improvement to key outcomes.

A day in our open, collaborative workspace will look a little like this:

  • Supervising a team of Enrollment Advisors including call review, performance improvement, and systems/tools usage to drive excellent outcomes and continuous improvement
  • Providing accountability to ensure initial review of applications by team members accurately determines whether students are eligible for programs, and/or application is rerouted to enrollment team for follow up
  • Partnering cross-functionally to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Enrollment Advising team, collaborating to create process, product, and program improvements, and implementing change
  • Iterating on Guild’s student enrollment experience to improve student enrollment satisfaction and success - identifying challenges, analyzing and evaluating opportunities to improve, and identifying action steps to implement and drive positive change

In this role, you’ll grow and expand your expertise by:

  • Taking on a cross-functional role that will expose you to the ins and outs of Guild
  • Showing leadership by solving unique, complex problems across our Enrollment Advising team
  • Participating in the development of prototype processes to improve key outcomes

You’ll know if you’re successful by:

  • Achieving measurable quarterly goals based on how many students your team helps get started in eligible programs or universities
  • Driving high employee satisfaction and employee retention rates
  • Receiving feedback through our learning-focused twice annual Structured Growth Conversations

You’ll join a team:

  • From diverse backgrounds – from traditional higher education, to athletic coaches, to politicians, to startup leaders (and more!)
  • Of learners & problem-solvers dedicated to our dual mission of changing education in America while building a successful, high-growth company
  • Committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment that you’d support every day

What you’ll add to Guild - as an individual and part of the broader team:

  • Leadership experience managing and successfully implementing complex problems, processes, projects, and people
  • Operations and process improvement mindset: you know how to implement, measure, and report on workflows with an eye for constant improvement
  • Management expertise: you are comfortable organizing and holding team members to optimal outcomes
  • An understanding of diverse project management principles, processes, methodologies, and tools paired with an ability to critically evaluate and implement the right options for each project
  • A data-driven mindset and the ability to use insights from qualitative conversations and quantitative metrics to build stronger relationships and achieve better results
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • An understanding of the higher education and benefits landscapes
  • Evidence of your intellectual curiosity in the space - do you blog, tweet, speak or read everything that’s out there - tell us more!
  • A drive to work hard and a plan for how you can refresh and recharge while working in a startup
  • Something else? Wonderful, we’re curious to learn more about you!
