Machinist I
Ball Aerospace located in Boulder, CO is looking to hire a qualified entry level machinist. You’ll be given the opportunity to learn a fascinating and rewarding career in the aerospace industry here at Ball Aerospace. We’ll provide you training to compliment your existing skillset. You’ll be surrounded by some of the most knowledgeable craftsman machinist who will support you daily.
What You’ll Do:
- Program and setup daily on prototype work on a variety of equipment as necessary.
- Complete 1st piece and in process inspections as needed.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You’ll Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Strong attention to detail and compliance to industry, environmental, health and safety standards is required.
- Experience in a prototype machining environment.
- Basic operation of computers.
- Programming experience using Mastercam (can train).
- Must be self-managed and driven to achieve quality product.
- Must be able to effectively participate in a team environment with members from all disciplines.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
- Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $18.51 - $24.52 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
