The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for building and implementing training programs that increase the productivity of the organization's employees. You will partner with the Company’s leaders and members of the People Ops team to assess training needs at the Company, department and team levels. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate teammates and enhance performance

The successful Learning and Development Manager has excellent people, program, and project management skills, a strong bias towards action, and is innovative and strategically minded while executing on the daily operational tactics.  Reporting to the Sr. Director of Organizational Design & Development, the Learning and Development Manager will have a global reach, equipping all team members with the mindset, skillset and toolset to live Convercent’s core values and unlock the highest levels of performance and growth.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead a learning and development practice that is respected and recognized for exceptional leadership, effectiveness and integrity.
  • Work closely with People Operations and leadership teams to design learning and training initiatives for onboarding and continuing skill development.
  • Frequently engage with Convercent leadership and staff to ensure continued alignment of learning and development initiatives with team member, culture, and business needs.
  • Ownership and administrative facilitation of Convercent's New-Hire Orientation program
  • Bring innovative approaches to learning and development to support hybrid work models.
  • Ensure programs run with operational excellence.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of instructional design and delivery methods.
  • Leverage analytics from onboarding through offboarding to proactively inform leadership and drive continued innovation and strategy.
  • Obtain, design, produce and curate training materials.
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Act as the principal point of contact for orientation, on-boarding, and training initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in learning trends, theories, and technologies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience developing and implementing effective onboarding and training programs cross-culturally in a global business environment.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Passionate about creating a culture of excellence – elevating everyday work experiences for Convercent employees.
  • Innovative and modern approach influenced by a solid understanding of adult learning theories.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively while executing learning and training programs with precision.
  • Ability to inspire confidence in senior leadership and management teams by demonstrating a partnership mentality and using data to drive strategies.
  • Embrace and adopt technologies to optimize initiatives, deliverables and results.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and diligence about quality outcomes.
  • Clear communicator with professional presence and the ability to lead through influence.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary and variable compensation ranges provided here are just that—a range! The offer that is ultimately extended is based on level of experience, skillset, certifications and education. 

  • Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 base salary 
  • This position includes unlimited time off, comprehensive benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), monthly tech stipend, and company-paid sabbatical at five years of service.
