The Lead Systems Engineer works with FWI customers to scope, implement, and document complex digital signage networks which includes FWI’s hardware, software, server infrastructure, and integrations to external data, images or video.  The Lead Systems Engineer mentors other team members, handles customer escalations, and guides day-to-day operations of the team.  Acts as an internal and external consultant for the Systems Engineering and Project Delivery teams.

The compensation package will be aligned to each candidate’s experience and qualifications. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical consultant to scope, implement, and document complex signage solutions.
  • Perform on-site or remote implementation of FWI products into customer environments.
  • Own and manage customer escalations.
  • Lead and mentor team members and peers.
  • Set up data integrations to external customer systems.
  • Perform final QA and troubleshooting of installed and deployed solutions.
  • Create and deliver technical training sessions and documentation for internal and external clients.
  • Assist in defining and implementing new policies and procedures.
  • Review projects and scopes for accuracy and provide feedback to internal clients.
  • Travel up to 25% throughout the US.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements for Success:

  • 2-3 years of experience collaborating with large customer IT Teams to design, document implement and troubleshoot solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced network and PC troubleshooting.
  • Experience with computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, security, etc.
  • Experience working with PC hardware.
  • Experience with Windows Server installation and administration.
  • Experience installing and configuring software applications (attended and unattended).
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL queries, and SQL server management.
  • Familiarity with scripting batch files and Visual Basic.

Helpful for Success:

  • A. /B.S. in IT-related field (Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience with large format LCD/LED displays and video wall configurations.
  • Experience with IPTV and video streaming.
  • Experience delivering customer training.
  • Experience with iPad, Windows and Android tablets and devices.
  • Experience leading small, autonomous teams.
